Tropical Cyclone “Uwan” has affected tens of thousands of residents in the province of Cavite, according to an update from the provincial disaster office Monday morning.
The Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council – Emergency Operations Center (PDRRMC-EOC) reported that as of 9 a.m. on November 10, 2025, a total of 8,826 families, or 32,637 individuals, have been impacted by the storm.
The majority of the displaced are staying outside of official evacuation centers.
The report listed 42 families (162 individuals) taking shelter inside evacuation centers, while 8,784 families (32,475 individuals) are displaced outside of them.
The disaster council is monitoring incidents of flooding and flash floods across the province.
The storm also caused structural damage, with two houses totally damaged and one partially damaged.
Additional incidents include fallen trees, soil erosion, and one fire incident.
To assist affected residents, 255 evacuation centers have been activated.
The PDRRMO, together with partner agencies and local government units, is providing humanitarian assistance and remains on full alert.
