CAVITE CITY — A suspect in a stabbing that killed a teenager during the Regada Festival surrendered personally to Cavite City Mayor Denver Chua at the mayor’s office, authorities said.
The suspect, identified only by his alias “Jim,” is an adult resident of Cavite City. He was immediately turned over to the Cavite City Police for the appropriate legal proceedings.
The stabbing occurred June 24, 2026, during the Regada Festival celebrations. The victim, a young man, was stabbed in the neck after intervening in a fistfight between the suspect and the victim’s uncle. He later died from the wound.
Mayor Chua condemned the incident in a statement following the surrender.
