SILANG, Cavite — A supermarket here became an unlikely showcase of Filipino patriotism after store products were arranged into a giant Philippine flag design as part of celebrations marking the country’s 128th Independence Day.
Instead of typical decorations, items of varying colors were carefully arranged on shelves to form the image of the national flag, drawing attention from shoppers and online users for its creative concept.
According to a post shared by a Facebook page identified as Celbert Silang, Cavite, the display was a collaboration between Abri and the Monde Nissin team as part of the June 12 Independence Day celebration.
The project highlighted how patriotic displays need not be elaborate to convey the spirit of independence, with organizers saying the arrangement of everyday products reflected unity, pride and love of country — even in ordinary settings like a supermarket.
