NOVELETA, Cavite — Colorful pinwheel-style banderitas line the streets of Barangay San Rafael II as this town prepares for the feast of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje, celebrated annually from May 1 to 3.
The spinning decorations, installed through the joint effort of barangay officials, youth volunteers, and residents, have drawn the attention of passersby and devotees ahead of the three-day celebration, also known as the Fiesta de la Virgen de la Paz.
Organizers said the windmill banderitas were intended not only as street decor but as a symbol of community unity and devotion, reflecting the barangay’s creative take on the annual fiesta tradition.
The feast of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje is one of Noveleta’s most significant religious and cultural celebrations, drawing devotees and visitors from surrounding areas each year.
