A suspected drug dealer has been arrested in Kawit, Cavite, following a buy-bust operation by the Kawit Municipal Police Station.
According to the police, the suspect, known by the alias “Kurt”, was apprehended on Thursday at around 10:30 AM in Barangay Balsahan-Bisita, Kawit, after selling a small sachet of suspected marijuana to an undercover officer.
The operation was carried out by the Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives of the Kawit Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Tabing Dagat, Bacoor City, was informed of his constitutional rights and is currently being held at the Kawit Municipal Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
The police say the arrest is part of their ongoing campaign against all forms of criminality, and serves as a warning to the public to refrain from engaging in illegal activities.
The operation was led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard D Corpuz, Chief of Police of the Kawit Municipal Police Station.
