Aug. 20 Classes Cancelled in Parts of Cavite Due to Volcanic Smog

Classes in several areas of Cavite province have been cancelled for Tuesday, August 20, 2024 due to volcanic smog from Taal Volcano.

The following areas have announced no classes for all levels in both public and private schools:

• City of Imus
• City of General Trias

This advisory is as of 1:30 PM local time on August 19 and is subject to updates.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and follow protocols set by their local governments.
