SANTA ROSA, Laguna — Residents of Laguna, Cavite, and nearby provinces can look forward to a new shopping and lifestyle destination as SM Prime Holdings confirmed that SM Nuvali remains on track to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, making it the company’s fifth and largest mall in Laguna.
Located within the fast-growing Nuvali estate along the Santa Rosa–Tagaytay Road, SM Nuvali is expected to become a major commercial and lifestyle hub serving not only Laguna but also neighboring areas in Cavite. For many Caviteños, the mall will be highly accessible—approximately five minutes from Puting Kahoy in Silang and about 15 minutes from General Trias via the CALAX (Cavite–Laguna Expressway), making it one of the nearest premier shopping destinations for residents in western Cavite.
SM Prime said the development will offer more than 82,000 square meters of gross leasable area and will feature a modern, sustainability-focused design. Planned amenities include solar panels, water recycling systems, energy-efficient lighting, 24 electric vehicle charging stations, e-waste collection facilities, and a Trash-to-Cash recycling program, reflecting the company’s push toward greener developments.
Unlike traditional malls, SM Nuvali is designed to provide a more open and nature-inspired experience. It will feature spacious promenades, green spaces, lifestyle areas, and a signature one-hectare air-conditioned indoor garden, offering visitors a unique blend of retail, dining, leisure, and recreation. Premium local and international brands, restaurants, entertainment facilities, and family-oriented attractions are also expected to become part of the development.
According to SM Prime President Jeffrey Lim, SM Nuvali will be the first of five flagship malls that the company plans to launch annually from 2026 to 2030, underscoring its confidence in the continued growth of regional economies outside Metro Manila.
Beyond shopping, the new mall is expected to generate thousands of jobs during its operations and stimulate business activity in the Nuvali growth corridor. Analysts also expect nearby property values and commercial investments in southern Laguna and northern Cavite to receive an additional boost once the mall begins operations.
As construction progresses, anticipation continues to build among residents eager for a world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment destination closer to home. If construction remains on schedule, SM Nuvali is expected to welcome its first visitors before the end of 2026.
