ROSARIO, Cavite, Feb. 21, 2026 – The Reserve Command of the Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA) conducted an educational visit to the Casa Hacienda de Tejeros in Rosario, Cavite on Friday, as part of efforts to deepen newly assigned personnel’s understanding of the military’s historical roots.
The delegation, led by Command Inspector General Col. Charliben Delamide alongside Col. Hilarion Palma and Lt. Col. Richard P. Villaflor, Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, included officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian staff.
The visit centered on the site of the 1897 Tejeros Convention, held on March 22 of that year, where Filipino revolutionaries established a revolutionary government during the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonial rule — an event considered a pivotal moment in the nation’s military history.
RESCOM leadership said the activity was intended to reinforce among soldiers an awareness of the traditions and values tied to the Philippine Army uniform.
Rosario Municipal Tourism Officer Ruben Quinto welcomed the visit, saying his office valued the opportunity to share the historical significance of Casa Hacienda de Tejeros with the armed forces.
The local government of Rosario, under Mayor Jose Voltaire V. Ricafrente, expressed support for the initiative, describing it as an example of cooperation between the military and local authorities in promoting heritage preservation and cultural tourism.
Casa Hacienda de Tejeros is recognized as one of Cavite’s key historical landmarks and a protected heritage site.
