Tagaytay Police Capture Regional Most Wanted Rapist

Tagaytay City, Cavite — A man accused of rape and considered as one of the most wanted persons in the region was apprehended by the Tagaytay Component City Police Station Warrant Section in Barangay Maitim 2nd West, Tagaytay City, on February 20, 2024.

The suspect, known only as “BENJIE,” was a resident of the same barangay where he was caught. He was charged with rape under Art. 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended by RA 8353.

The arrest was made possible by an intelligence-driven operation and a Warrant of Arrest with Criminal Case Number TG-24-087 issued by the Fourth Judicial Region, Family Court Branch 3, Tagaytay City, Cavite. The suspect was not granted bail.

“BENJIE” was brought to the Tagaytay Component City Police Station for proper processing and documentation.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office vowed to continue its efforts to track down and arrest those who have pending warrants of arrest and make them accountable for their crimes.
