A New Road to Progress: The Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway

Posted by

Imagine driving from Cavite to Batangas in less than an hour, enjoying the scenic views of Tagaytay along the way. This is not a fantasy, but a reality that will soon be possible with the completion of the Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway (CTBEX).

CTBEX is a 50.43 km tollway that passes through Cavite, including Silang, Tagaytay, Amadeo, Mendez, Alfonso, and Magallanes. Its reach extends further into the province of Batangas, particularly Nasugbu. This expressway is intended to enhance connectivity and accessibility in the region, providing a faster and more efficient transportation route for commuters and travelers passing through these areas.

CTBEX is part of the government’s Build, Build, Build program, which aims to boost infrastructure development and economic growth in the country. The project is expected to cost around P22.4 billion and will be implemented by the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the largest toll road developer and operator in the Philippines.

According to MPTC President and CEO Rodrigo Franco, CTBEX will not only reduce travel time and congestion, but also spur tourism, trade, and investment in the region. “CTBEX will open up new opportunities for the people of Cavite and Batangas, as well as the neighboring provinces. It will also improve the quality of life and the environment in the area, as it will use green and sustainable technologies,” he said.

CTBEX will have eight interchanges, namely Silang East, Pook, Tagaytay, Alfonso, Magallanes, Nasugbu, Lian, and Calatagan. It will also have a link to the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), another major infrastructure project that connects Cavite and Laguna. CTBEX will have a design speed of 80 km/h and a toll fee of P3.75 per kilometer.

CTBEX is expected to be completed by 2026 and will serve around 23,000 vehicles per day. It will also generate around 5,000 jobs during its construction and operation phases.

CTBEX is not just a road, but a symbol of progress and development for the region. It will bring the people of Cavite and Batangas closer together, and closer to their dreams.

Stay tuned for more exciting development projects in Cavite!
