Capitol, PNP Bring Public Services to Maragondon Through One-Day Caravan

MARAGONDON, Cavite — The Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC), in partnership with the Cavite Police Provincial Office, conducted a medical mission and delivered essential public services to residents of Barangay Sta. Mercedes during the One-Day Barangayanihan Caravan on June 26.

The initiative benefitted around 200 residents, with the PGC’s medical and dental team providing free consultations, health services, and prescribed medicines, in line with efforts to improve healthcare access in underserved communities.

Several national agencies joined the caravan, expanding the range of services offered. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) assisted with National ID registration and issued civil registry documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) promoted its vocational training and livelihood programs, while the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) provided job matching and employment support.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) offered legal consultations, conducted its “Libreng Gupit” free haircut service, and shared recruitment information. A ceremonial turnover of medical equipment and essential medicines from the Cavite PPO to the local Rural Health Unit further strengthened the town’s healthcare capacity.

Children also received free slippers, adding a personal touch to the event’s community outreach.

The activity reflected the PGC’s commitment to inclusive development and multi-sectoral collaboration, with local officials and residents expressing gratitude for the government’s efforts to bring vital services directly to their community.
