In the quaint barangay of Wawa-1, Rosario, Cavite, a calendar bearing a typographical error has become the talk of the town. The date, which should have read “29”, was mistakenly printed as “39”.

The anomaly was first spotted by Deputy Chief Tanod, Alejandro Mercado, at 8 o’clock this morning. Since then, it has sparked lively discussions and inspired a myriad of stories within the community.

A Facebook post by Kagawad Denmark Sagpao about the calendar has garnered a variety of comments. While everyone acknowledges it as a printing error, the imaginative minds of the locals have given rise to a range of reactions.

Here are some of the amusing comments:

Firstly, all babies born today will celebrate their birthdays on April 39. How will they celebrate their next birthday?

Secondly, if you were given a deadline to repay a debt by April 29, you would be safe from that obligation. After all, there is no April 29 on this calendar.

Thirdly, if you promised to make a payment on April 29, you would still be safe because there is no April 29 on this calendar.

Regardless of individual reactions, this incident underscores the Filipinos’ reputation as some of the happiest people in the world. Even a simple image, due to a minor oversight, can trigger a variety of responses that bring laughter into our lives.
