DOH Vaccinates Over 150 Children Against Polio in Naic, Cavite

As part of its commitment to providing safe and effective vaccines to children, the Department of Health (DOH) has carried out a polio vaccination campaign for children aged 0-59 months in the town of Naic, Cavite.

The DOH selected Naic for this initiative due to an increase in the number of children needing vaccination over the past three years.

According to Dr. Ma. Carolina Matel, the municipal health officer of Naic, the target is to vaccinate approximately fourteen thousand children within just two months, starting this May and continuing through June.

Dr. Matel admits that this is a challenge for their team to vaccinate all the children. They will also be going house-to-house in each barangay to administer the vaccines.

Parents are also reminded to have their children vaccinated to protect them from the severe disease of polio.
