IMUS, Cavite — A 25-year-old man was arrested following an investigation into a Facebook post that threatened teachers and students at Imus National High School.
Police identified the suspect only by the alias “Billy.” He was a senior high school student at the school, according to the Imus Component City Police Station.
The post appeared July 23, 2026 on a Facebook group for which the suspect was an administrator and had access to the account used, investigators said.
Officers took the suspect into custody with help from school administrators and Barangay Bucandala III officials. He was taken to the police station.
A complaint for online threats was being prepared, police said. Authorities also reminded the public to avoid spreading messages that cause fear, especially in schools.
