The Bureau of Customs seized 39 parcels containing suspected illegal drugs worth more than P41 million, some of which were bound for Cavite province, the agency said.
The operation was conducted with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine Postal Corporation.
The seized items included 4.3 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine, 5.6 kilograms of marijuana, and 707 grams of ecstasy, all originating from various countries, customs officials said.
The parcels were discovered at Ninoy Aquino International Airport after undergoing X-ray screening, K9 inspection and further examination.
Aside from Metro Manila, Cavite was among the intended destinations for the parcels, according to the bureau.
The seized drugs have been turned over to the drug enforcement agency for further testing and investigation.
