TZU CHI BREAKS GROUND ON FREE EYE CARE CENTER IN IMUS CITY
IMUS CITY, Cavite — The Tzu Chi Medical Foundation Philippines broke ground on a new eye center here that will offer free medical services to patients with eye diseases, officials said.
The Tzu Chi Imus Eye Center, once completed, is expected to serve residents of Imus and surrounding areas, providing eye examinations, consultations, and specialized surgeries including procedures for cataracts and glaucoma.
Local officials and Tzu Chi Foundation representatives led the groundbreaking ceremony, marking the start of construction of the facility aimed at expanding access to quality eye care, particularly for low-income patients.
Officials credited philanthropist Carlos Chan and the Tzu Chi Foundation for their continued support of the project.
The center is expected to become a regional eye care hub serving Cavite and neighboring provinces upon completion.
