NINE ARRESTED IN IMUS CITY PARTY DRUGS BUST; OVER P307,000 IN ECSTASY SEIZED
IMUS CITY, Cavite — Nine individuals, including five women, were arrested Wednesday night in a buy-bust operation targeting so-called “party drugs” in Barangay Buhay na Tubig, authorities said.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office IV-A, in coordination with the Imus City Police, launched the operation at around 8:15 p.m. through its Special Enforcement Teams 1 and 2.
Suspects, identified by aliases Michael, Elijah, Judiel, Jasper, Jimuelle, Bea, Richel, Mary, and Hanna, all residents of the area, face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, for the sale, possession during social gatherings, and use of dangerous drugs.
Operatives seized 181 ecstasy capsules valued at P1,700 each, for a total of P307,700, along with approximately one gram each of shabu and cocaine, 50 milliliters of liquid ecstasy, 10 vape cartridges containing liquid marijuana, three cellphones, and boodle money used in the operation.
Cases under Sections 5, 13, and 15 of Article II of RA 9165 are being prepared against all nine suspects.
