GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite — Mayor Jon-Jon Ferrer inspected the San Juan I Bridge Friday alongside city engineers and Department of Public Works and Highways representatives following its temporary closure.
The city government said the structure, which has been in service for more than 40 years, will undergo full rehabilitation to ensure the safety of motorists and residents.
Officials identified areas likely to be affected by the project and are preparing alternative routes for commuters during the construction period.
The rehabilitation is expected to be completed within three to six months. The city government and DPWH said they would continue to coordinate closely to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
