KAWIT, Cavite — A police officer from the Kawit Municipal Police Station is being commended for coming to the aid of a child suffering an epileptic episode while on routine patrol, the Cavite Provincial Police Office said.
PCpl. Abdul Madid Cabuntalan immediately responded to assist the child on May 7, 2026, setting aside his patrol duties to ensure the child’s safety and welfare until the situation was stabilized.
The Cavite Provincial Police Office public information officer, Lt. Sarah Jane Drio, issued a statement praising the officer’s actions.
“The Cavite Provincial Police Office wholeheartedly commends and expresses gratitude for the compassion and swift response shown by PCpl. Abdul Madid Cabuntalan to a child with epilepsy while he was conducting patrol,” Drio said.
She added that Cabuntalan’s actions reflected the core values expected of law enforcement personnel.
“His kindness and quick action reflect the true spirit of police service — with integrity, compassion, and readiness to help in times of need,” Drio said. “Through this simple act of assistance, he demonstrated that the police are not only enforcers of the law but partners of the community in providing hope and security to the people.”
