PDEA Seizes P1.9M Worth of Ecstasy in Bacoor, Cavite

Bacoor, Cavite – Government authorities seized nearly P2 million pesos worth of ecstasy tablets in a drug bust operation Thursday evening in Bacoor City, Cavite, officials said Friday.

A joint team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the police arrested a 34-year-old man identified as Jerome Jamila during a sting operation at around 7:45 pm.

Jamila, described as a “high-value drug personality,” was caught with approximately 1,151 blue tablets believed to be ecstasy, valued at P1.96 million pesos, according to the PDEA.

The suspect, a delivery rider from Pasay City, faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which prohibits the sale of illegal substances.
