Cavite once again took center stage in commemorating the 126th Philippine Independence Day Celebration at the hallowed grounds of the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite on June 12, 2024.

The celebration was graced by Senator Ramon โ€˜โ€™Bongโ€™โ€™ Revilla who served as the guest of honor. Governor Juanito โ€˜โ€™Jonvicโ€™โ€™ Remulla warmly welcomed all attendees, and valiantly proclaimed, โ€œMabuhay ang Lalawigan ng Cavite, Mabuhay ang Republika ng Pilipinas, Mabuhay ang ating Kalayaan!โ€

Also present in the event were 1st District Congressman Jolo Revilla, 2nd District Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, 7th District Congressman Ping Remulla, 8th District Congresswoman Aniela Tolentino, Board Members Abeng Remulla, Rommel Enriquez and Ram Revilla. The event also saw the participation of city and municipal mayors together with other local officials.

Furthermore, the event garnered support from various organizations, including the Department of Tourism – Calabarzon Regional Director Marites T. Castro; DepEd officials; members of the Cavite Historical Society, Cavite Provincial Tourism Board, Inc. (CPTBI), CALABARZON Alliance of Independent Tour Operators (CAITO), as well as media personnel and other non-government and socio-civic organizations.

As the nation reflects on its journey towards independence, Cavite stands as a beacon of pride, freedom and unity, Gov. Remulla said.

Through commemorative events like this, we are reminded of our roots, and inspired to safeguard our heritage as we build a strong future, the governor added.
