Cavite Police Arrest 2nd Most Wanted Drug Suspect

A man who was ranked as the second most wanted person in Dasmariñas City for drug-related charges was arrested by the Cavite police on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

The suspect, who goes by the alias “Roel”, was apprehended in his residence in Sitio Talisay, Barangay Sampaloc 4, Dasmariñas City, following an intelligence-driven operation by the warrant section of the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station.

According to PLTCOL JULIUS BAYBADO BALANO, the officer in charge of the police station, the suspect was wanted for violating Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

A warrant of arrest with a bail of Php200,000.00 was issued against the suspect by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 128, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

The suspect is currently detained at the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station for further processing and legal action.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office said that it will continue to pursue people with outstanding warrants of arrest, especially those involved in illegal drugs, to ensure that they will face justice.
