CAVITE: A suspected drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Kawit, Cavite, police said on Monday.
The suspect, identified only as “Elmer”, a resident of Barangay Batong-Dalig, was caught selling a small sachet of suspected shabu, a highly addictive methamphetamine, to an undercover officer.
The operation was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit, led by PCPT Ernesto G. Monasterial II, and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4-A.
The suspect was informed of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine and taken into custody for documentation and proper disposition.
The operation is part of the police station’s intensified campaign against all forms of criminality in Kawit, particularly the proliferation of illegal drugs.
The police vowed to continue their efforts to eradicate crime in Kawit, Cavite, and warned the public against engaging in illicit activities.
