Cavite Province Honors Youth Leaders in 2nd Gawad Pawid Awards

CAVITE PROVINCE, Philippines — The 2nd Gawad Pawid Awards, held on Sept. 28, 2024 recognized outstanding youth organizations and officials in Cavite province.

After careful screening and interviews, the awards honored excellence and dedication in several categories:

  • Outstanding SK Federation and Local Youth Development Council
  • Outstanding Local Youth Development Office
  • Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan Council
  • Best Innovative Programs
  • SK Pederasyon Achievement Seal

Winners included:

  • Global Mobility: Artibus News of ISSA, led by Jerome Mabasa
  • Governance: SK Santol Empowerment Camp, led by Irving Rasa
  • Health: Di Ka Nag-iisa Project by AVES Civil Society
  • Peace Building & Security: Samahan ng Bacooreno Reformado-Kaayusan, Kaligtasan, Kapayapaan, led by Angie Cariaso
  • Social Inclusion and Equity: #ThePeerProject: Peer Counseling, led by Charity Ysabelle Apin

Christian Vicedo was named Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan Council for Brgy. Sikat, Alfonso.

Angie Cariaso of Bacoor City won Outstanding Local Youth Development Officer.

The event aimed to showcase the talent and energy of Cavite’s youth.
