Traffic Enforcer Killed by Bus in Dasmariñas City

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – A traffic enforcer was killed after being hit by a passenger bus on Aguinaldo Highway in Dasmariñas City, Cavite province, on Wednesday afternoon, local police said.

The victim, identified as Alfredo Datoon, died at the scene of the incident, which occurred around 2 p.m.

According to Dasmariñas Police, Datoon had flagged down the bus for picking up passengers in an unauthorized area. Instead of complying, the bus reportedly accelerated, striking the enforcer.

The bus driver has been arrested and will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, police officials stated.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
