Silang, Cavite – Authorities seized parcels containing illegal drugs valued at about 5.6 million pesos, including a package bound for a church in Silang, Cavite.
A brown parcel declared as “1 X File with Documents” was opened by authorities, who found 710 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately P4.8 million pesos. Records show the package originated from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
The same day, another parcel declared as “CEACO Puzzles 500 pieces 4 included Food Trucks” was found to contain 540 grams of suspected kush valued at about 810,000 pesos.
That package came from a residential house in Costa Mesa, California, and was addressed to a condominium in Pasig City.
The operation was conducted by the Clark Inter-Agency Task Force Against Illegal Drugs, in coordination with the National Bureau of Investigation-Pampanga, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Bureau of Customs and the Philippine National Police.
The seized contraband was brought to the Bureau of Customs for testing by the PDEA.
