BACOOR, Cavite — Eight police officers were arrested Saturday after being accused of raping a Grade 9 student and stealing property during a raid on a house in this city, authorities announced.

The eight officers, now in the custody of the Bacoor Police, were apprehended at their own station in Calamba, Laguna. They are among 14 officers from the Calabarzon region’s Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 4A facing complaints for the alleged assault on the 18-year-old student, who is also a live streamer.

The suspects were identified as Lt. Ram Rojun Pastor Maristela, Master Sgt. Kristian Roxas Vega, Cpl. Marvin Jae Francisco Abella, Cpl. John Michael Salita Aga, Cpl. Ronnie Garcia Lising, Patrolman Jimmer Domingo Vendiola, Patrolman Crisanto Baraquiel Gicoso and Patrolman Jefferson Veloria Calma.

Authorities are searching for six other officers accused in the crime: Cpl. Jerome Roxas, Patrolman Alexander Verzosa, Cpl. Dondee Great Olog, Patrolman Edward Tagadtad, Patrolman Raymart Laciste and Patrolman Richard Saet.

The 14 officers face complaints for violations of RA 8353, the Anti-Rape Law, and Robbery in Band.

The arrest followed a complaint filed by the victim, identified by the alias “Nene,” and her family from Talaba 3, Bacoor City, Cavite. According to the police report, the suspects conducted an anti-drug operation at Nene’s home on the morning of Nov. 22, 2025, targeting an alleged “big-time drug pusher” living there.

Upon entering the house, the officers allegedly stole valuables and money. Several of the suspects then allegedly raped the teenager before leaving.

Following the complaint, the Intelligence Section of the Bacoor Component City Police, led by Cpt. Herminigildo M. Soriano Jr., conducted a joint operation at Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba, Laguna, leading to the eight arrests.

Recovered from the suspects were the victim’s iPhone 13, a Toyota Innova, a Yamaha Mio i125 motorcycle, two transparent plastic sachets and a knotted plastic containing 86 grams of shabu valued at 584,800 pesos, a pink wallet, two license plates and boodle money.

A site inventory of the evidence was conducted in the presence of barangay officials.
