CAVITE – Gov. Jonvic “Abeng” Remulla on Monday recognized three local government units for their outstanding participation in the 2025 “Parada ng Kalayaan” held at Quirino Grandstand in Manila last June 12, 2025 in celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day.
During a ceremony on August 4 at the Provincial Capitol, the cities of Cavite, Kawit, and Imus received commendations from the provincial government for showcasing local pride and heritage in the national event.
Also present during the event were officials from the Association of Tourism Officers and Coordinators of Cavite (ATOCC), led by Bacoor City Tourism Officer and ATOCC President Edwin Guinto, who paid a courtesy call on the governor.
Remulla expressed his full support for ATOCC’s ongoing programs aimed at boosting tourism and cultural development across the province. He emphasized the role of tourism in promoting Cavite’s rich history, including its pivotal role in the country’s independence.
The Parada ng Kalayaan is held annually to commemorate the June 12, 1898 declaration of Philippine independence, which took place in Kawit, Cavite.
