Residents across Calabarzon can now expect faster and more coordinated police response times following the full integration of the Philippine National Police into the national Emergency 911 (E911) hotline system.

Police Regional Office IV-A acting director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky said the improved system allows police units to respond to emergency calls in under five minutes.

“When a citizen dials 911 and presses ‘1’ for police assistance, the call is immediately routed to the PNP Command Center, triggering our emergency response protocols,” Wanky explained.

The move is part of the government’s ongoing effort to streamline public safety services and improve emergency response under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign.

The E911 hotline serves as the country’s centralized emergency contact number, modeled after the U.S. 911 system, and was institutionalized in 2016 through Executive Order No. 56.

Authorities are urging the public to use the hotline responsibly and report only legitimate emergencies to avoid clogging the system.
