Anti-narcotics officers arrested a 45-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite, on suspicion of selling illegal drugs, police said on Friday.
The suspect, identified as Danilo Reymundo Canziado, also known as “Buknoy,” was apprehended by members of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Special Operations Unit 4A along Zapote River Drive.
Authorities described Canziado, a resident of Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno in Las Piñas City, as a high-value individual on their drug watchlist.
Recovered from the suspect were two sachets containing approximately 50 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine (locally known as shabu) with a street value of PHP 340,000, along with a marked PHP1,000 bill and boodle money used during the transaction.
Canziado did not issue a statement.
He is facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
