The family home of Olympic gymnast Carlos Yulo in Cavite province is up for sale, a move that further reveals ongoing tensions between the athlete and his mother.
The Poquiz and Yulo families are offering the house, located in a subdivision in Anabu, Imus City.
Reports suggest that part of the purchase money came from Carlos Yulo’s gymnastics earnings.
The property has been unoccupied, with the family opting to live in Leveriza, closer to training facilities, work, and business locations.
Yulo, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, reportedly owns other properties, including a 32-million-peso condominium, a house and lot in Batangas, and a rest house in Tagaytay.
Angelica Yulo, Carlos’ mother, is handling inquiries about the sale.
She previously acknowledged using some of her son’s earnings for property investments.
“We invest in houses so he can see and say, ‘I have a remembrance from my money,'” Mrs. Yulo said. She encourages her children to buy mementos with their cash incentives, regardless of size.
The sale comes amid reported disagreements between the gymnast and his mother.
