The Provincial Government of Cavite on Tuesday recognized outstanding stakeholders and cities in the recent Bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine Catch-up and Supplemental Immunization Activity, highlighting the collective efforts of local government units and national agencies in the fight against polio.
The recognition ceremony, held at the Bayleaf Hotel in General Trias City, Cavite, acknowledged the dedication and excellence of participating municipalities, cities, and stakeholders. Awards were presented in various categories, including community engagement, timely reporting, high immunization coverage rates, and exceeding immunization targets.
The Engagement Champion Award went to cities of Tagaytay, Trece Martires, Gen. Trias, Imus, Carmona, and Dasmariñas, as well as municipalities of Silang, Kawit, Amadeo, Alfonso, Naic, Mendez, Magallanes, and Maragondon, for demonstrating exceptional community engagement and outreach efforts during the immunization drive.
The Recognition in Timely Reporting award was given to cities of Trece Martires, Tagaytay, and Gen. Trias, as well as municipalities of Silang, Mendez, Indang, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, and Naic, for consistently providing prompt and accurate reporting throughout the campaign.
The Good Jab Award recognized municipalities and cities with high immunization coverage rates, with awardees including cities of Cavite, Imus, and Bacoor, as well as municipalities of Noveleta, Kawit, Amadeo, Rosario, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Ternate, Alfonso, Magallanes, Indang, and Tanza.
The Excellent Jab Award was given to areas that exceeded their immunization targets, with recipients including cities of Gen. Trias, Dasmariñas, Trece Martires, Carmona, and Tagaytay, as well as municipalities of Mendez, Maragondon, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Naic, and Silang.
The Green Banner Award was presented to Dasmariñas City Health Office, Imus City Health Office, Carmona City Health Office, Gen. Trias City Health Office, Trece Martires City Health Office, and Tagaytay City Health Office for achieving at least 75% coverage in their immunization activity.
The Game Changer Award was given to cities of Bacoor and Dasmariñas, as well as municipalities of Silang, Tanza, and Naic, for having the most number of children vaccinated during the oral polio vaccination drive.
The Most Innovative Award was awarded to the Municipality of Gen. Mariano Alvarez for their creativity and innovation in implementing the immunization campaign.
In addition to these awards, plaques of appreciation were given to various national agencies and stakeholders for their invaluable support and collaboration in ensuring the success of the polio immunization efforts.
