KAWIT, Cavite — A suspected drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Kawit, Cavite, authorities said Sunday.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Josie,” was taken into custody at 5 p.m. in Barangay Tramo-bantayan, Kawit, after allegedly selling a small sachet of suspected “shabu” to undercover operatives.
The operation was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-4A, under the supervision of Police Lt. Col. Richard D. Corpuz.
The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and was brought to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and further action.
The arrest is part of the police station’s intensified campaign against all forms of criminality, particularly the rampant illegal drug trade in Kawit, Cavite.
Authorities warned the public to refrain from engaging in such activities.
