A partylist congressman has expressed outrage over the death of a motorcycle rider in Dasmariñas, Cavite, which he attributed to the local government’s inhumane towing ordinance.

According to reports, a towing vehicle had left a truck in a dark section of the road with its wheels clamped, leading to a collision with a motorcycle that resulted in the rider’s death.

Congressman Bonifacio Bosita of the 1-Rider Partylist questioned the service of enforcers in Dasmariñas and their implementation of traffic laws in the area.

“I will bring this issue to the attention of Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos to ensure that no more lives are lost due to the improper towing practices in Dasmariñas,” Bosita said.

Reports said the incident has sparked concerns over public safety and the need for more humane and effective traffic management in the country.
