Pusher from Kaingen, Kawit Nabbed in Buy-bust

KAWIT, Cavite — Police arrested a suspected drug dealer in a buy-bust operation Friday evening in Kawit, a town in Cavite province south of Manika

The suspect, identified only as “Jhay,” was apprehended around 5:45 p.m. in Barangay Magdalo-Potol after allegedly selling a small plastic sachet of suspected marijuana to an undercover officer, according to Kawit police chief Lt. Col. Richard D. Corpuz.

The operation was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4A.

Authorities said the suspect, a resident of Barangay Kaingen in Kawit, was informed of his rights and taken to the police station for processing.

The arrest is part of an intensified campaign against crime and illegal drugs in the area, Corpuz said.
