Cavite Advances Towards Good Governance with Bid for 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance

The Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) is in the contention for the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance, having undergone a regional assessment on June 11, 2024.

The validation, which took place at the Provincial Capitol’s Ceremonial Hall in Trece Martires City, was led by Governor Jonvic Remulla, who highlighted Cavite’s commitment to governance excellence and progress through various projects, including an off-grid provincial capitol and infrastructure developments like CALAX.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) CALABARZON’s Assistant Regional Director Darrell I.

Dizon underscored the significance of the award, which has evolved from the Seal of Good Housekeeping in 2011 to now cover a wide range of governance areas.

The assessment team, comprising DILG officials from various provinces and a civil society representative, conducted document reviews and site visits before presenting their feedback.

DILG-Cavite Director Danilo Nobleza and Provincial Administrator Rodel Vincent T. Bae expressed gratitude for the successful validation, emphasizing public service as PGC’s operational core.
