Kawit, Cavite — In a significant operation against illegal drugs, the Kawit Municipal Police Station apprehended a notorious drug personality on May 26, 2024. 

The suspect, known by the alias “Coopert,” was arrested for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, commonly referred to as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Richard D Corpuz, Chief of Police, the Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives conducted a successful anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Balsahan-Bisita, Kawit, Cavite. 

During the operation, the suspect was caught selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “Shabu.”

The arrested individual was informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood. Subsequently, they were taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
