In a significant blow to the local drug trade, Kawit Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL Richard D Corpuz, arrested two individuals known by the aliases “Daway” and “Oli” last week.

The arrests were made as part of a coordinated anti-drug operation with the PDEA-4A at Brgy. Panamitan, Kawit, Cavite.

The suspects, both residents of Brgy Panamitan, were apprehended at 1:25 PM for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165, after they were caught selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a substance suspected to be “Shabu”.

Upon arrest, the suspects were informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood. They were then taken to Kawit Municipal Police Station for further processing.
