In Dasmariñas, Cavite, a 23-year-old maintenance worker was arrested last night after threatening to disseminate sex videos of his former girlfriend.

The arrest was made during an entrapment operation conducted by the Cavite Provincial Anti-Cybercrime Response Team.

The suspect had recorded videos of intimate acts with the 32-year-old woman while they were in a relationship.

Following their breakup, he created a social media account under the name of the woman’s child and used it to post sensitive photos and videos of his ex-girlfriend.

He repeatedly threatened to spread these images unless she agreed to meet and have sexual relations with him.

The victim reported the threats to the police, leading to the entrapment operation at an apartelle in Brgy. Salitran 2, where the suspect was apprehended.

The arrested individual now faces multiple charges, including grave coercion, violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, the Safe Space Act in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act, and the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act.
