A man who works as a police force multiplier was arrested for stealing a police officer’s gun inside a police outpost in Brgy. Alapan 2-A, Imus, Cavite recently.

The suspect was identified as alias Jomar. According to the Imus PNP, Pat. Monroe Rodriguez left his bag containing his PNP-issued firearm on a chair and went to the restroom. When he returned, he was shocked to find his bag missing.

The authorities checked the CCTV footage and saw the suspect carrying the bag and riding a tricycle. The police went to the suspect’s house and found the bag with the gun.

Jomar explained that he was just tempted to take the bag but he did not know that it had a gun inside. He was charged with theft.

The PNP will also investigate if the police officer was negligent.
