BFP Kawit Holds Digital Art and Poster Making Contest for Fire Prevention Month

KAWIT, Cavite – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Kawit, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Kawit District, held an on-the-spot digital art and poster making contest on February 23, 2024, at the Robertsons Plaza Mall.

The contest was part of the activities for the Fire Prevention Month 2024, which has the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa” (In Preventing Fire, You Are Not Alone).

Eleven public elementary schools and Tirona High School of Kawit participated in the contest, which aimed to raise awareness and promote fire safety among students and the community.

The contestants used digital devices and software to create their artworks, which were judged based on originality, creativity, relevance, and visual impact.

The winners of the digital art contest were:

– First place: John Paul Santos of Binakayan Elementary School

– Second place: Mary Grace Reyes of Magdalo Elementary School

– Third place: Mark Anthony Cruz of Panamitan Elementary School

The winners of the poster making contest were:

– First place: Angelica Perez of Tirona High School

– Second place: Joshua Garcia of Kaingen Elementary School

– Third place: Nicole Anne Lopez of Marulas Elementary School

The winners received cash prizes, certificates, and trophies from the BFP Kawit and the DepEd Kawit District.

The BFP Kawit expressed its gratitude to the local government unit of Kawit, led by Mayor Angelo G. Aguinaldo and the Sangguniang Bayan members, for their continuous support to the fire prevention campaign.

The BFP Kawit also thanked Jollibee Foods Inc., Mr. Mond Legaspi, and the owner of Robertsons Plaza Mall, Mr. Michael Tsai, represented by Ms. Angela Lungcay, for their accommodation and sponsorship.

The BFP Kawit congratulated all the participating schools and encouraged them to continue spreading the message of fire safety to their families and friends.
