SILANG, Cavite — Two armed men robbed DALI Grocery of three days’ worth of earnings around noon on Sept. 10 in Barangay Pasong Langka, Silang, Cavite.
More than 300,000 pesos was stolen from the store, according to the Silang Municipal Police Station.
Police said the suspects entered the store posing as customers around 12:40 p.m. before drawing firearms and declaring a holdup. They tied up two employees and forced them into the office where the store’s vault was located, then forced them to open it.
The suspects emptied the vault of more than 300,000 pesos, representing three days of the grocery’s earnings, before fleeing on a white Yamaha Aerox motorcycle.
Police launched a dragnet operation and gathered CCTV footage from the area as part of a backtracking operation.
Authorities also sought assistance from the Provincial Forensic Unit for crime scene processing and to search for physical evidence that could help identify and lead to the arrest of the suspects.
