PDEA nabs drug lord with P3.4M shabu in Cavite

BACOOR CITY, Cavite – A notorious drug lord was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation in this city on Thursday afternoon.

The suspect was identified as Datuen Aliman y Andongan, also known as Alim, who is considered a high-value target by the PDEA.

According to PDEA Regional Office IV-A Director Jovencio Senados, Aliman was caught selling shabu to an undercover agent at a parking lot of a mall in Barangay Molino II.

The operatives seized from Aliman about 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million and the marked money used in the transaction.

Senados said Aliman is a member of a drug syndicate operating in Cavite and nearby provinces.

He added that Aliman has been under surveillance for months before the operation was launched.

Aliman will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Senados lauded the joint efforts of the PDEA teams and the Bacoor City Police Station for the successful operation.

He also urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to illegal drugs to the PDEA hotline 8888 or the nearest police station.
