An online sexual predator from Cavite who attempted to meet a minor in Manila was caught in a cybercrime operation by the PNP Anti Cybercrime Group (ACG).
According to the authorities, the suspect was identified as Denver Estorninos, alias “Marjorie Osmena” on Facebook, 25 years old, and a resident of Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Cavite.
The parents of the minor complained that the suspect messaged their child last week using the alias “Marjorie Osmena” on Facebook to persuade him to send nude photos and videos in exchange for P8,000.
When the victim sent his photos, the suspect threatened to spread the photos and videos if he did not meet him.
The victim and his family immediately reported the threat to the ACG.
The suspect faces charges of “grave coercion” and violation of R.A. No. 10175 or “Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012” and R.A. No. 11930 or “Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act”.
