In a significant stride towards eradicating drug-related criminality, the Kawit Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL Richard D Corpuz, apprehended a key drug personality over the weekend.
The arrest was made at approximately 5:20 AM during a meticulously planned anti-illegal drug operation in Brgy. Batong-Dalig, Kawit, Cavite. The operation was a joint effort by the Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives of the station, in coordination with the PDEA-4A.
The suspect, known as “Erwin”, a resident of Brgy. Batong Dalig, Kawit was caught selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet suspected to contain “Shabu”, a local term for methamphetamine.
Following his arrest, Erwin was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understood. He was then transported to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for further documentation and processing.
