The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) proudly inaugurated the Drug Enforcement Officers Basic Course for the Class of 2024-21 on March 13, 2024 in Silang.

The ceremony, held at the PDEA Academy in Camp Castaneda, Silang, Cavite, marks the commencement of a rigorous six-month training program for 117 selected agent trainees.

Gracing the event as the Guest of Honor, PDEA Director General Moro Virgilio M. Lazo emphasized the agency’s dedication to fostering a cadre of drug enforcement officers who are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also uphold the highest standards of integrity and commitment to serving the Filipino people.

The training curriculum is designed to be comprehensive, covering a wide array of subjects from advanced law enforcement techniques to ethical practices, ensuring that the trainees are well-prepared for the complex nature of narcotics enforcement.

The PDEA Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities will serve as the backdrop for the trainees’ development, where they will undergo intensive physical training, tactical exercises, and scenario-based simulations, all aimed at equipping them for real-life challenges in the field.

The opening ceremony is a reflection of the PDEA’s relentless pursuit of excellence in combating drug-related issues in the country.

The agency extends its gratitude to the academy’s staff, the human resource management service, and all stakeholders and supporters for their unwavering support in shaping the future of drug enforcement in the Philippines. Together, they stand united in the fight against illegal narcotics, ensuring the safety and prosperity of the nation.
