CAVITE CITY, Cavite — A new facility meant to serve as a training and development center for local athletes was opened at Porta Vaga Subdivision here.
The opening and blessing of D’ Indoor Sports Center (DISC) aims to give athletes and young people a proper venue to hone their skills in various sports.
Angel Revilla attended the event in person, expressing support for programs focused on developing the talent of Caviteños.
DISC has facilities for basketball, volleyball, badminton, pickleball, gymnastics and fitness training, which can be used to prepare athletes for competitions.
The new sports center is expected to help develop athletes who continue to represent Cavite in competitions at home and abroad.
Supporters of the program thanked Mayor Denver Chua, Vice Mayor Raleigh Rusit and Team Unlad Cavite City for backing projects that highlight the talent and potential of the youth.
The event also included the blessing and turnover of new vehicles for the Cavite City Drug Center Response Center, which will serve as additional equipment for delivering services and carrying out community operations.
Program advocates said they hope the new facilities and equipment will encourage more young Caviteños to develop their talents and put them to positive use.
The program aims to strengthen support for the youth, from sports to services that directly benefit the community.
