The National Irrigation Administration, led by Administrator Eddie G. Guillen, appeared before the House Committee on Appropriations on Sept. 1 to present its proposed fiscal year 2027 budget.
Guillen was joined by Senior Deputy Administrator Robert C. Suguitan, Deputy Administrators Reyne B. Ugay and Robert Victor G. Seares Jr., along with central office department and division managers, and regional, engineering and operations division, irrigation management office and project managers.
During the hearing, NIA outlined its proposed programs, projects and budgetary requirements for 2027, saying the funding would support irrigation development, assist farmer beneficiaries and advance agricultural productivity and food security.
