Nine universities from the CALABARZON region landed in EduRank’s Top 100 Universities in the Philippines for 2026, with the University of the Philippines Los Baños leading the regional contingent at No. 5 nationally.
EduRank released the rankings March 16, evaluating institutions based on research output, non-academic prominence and alumni influence. The assessment drew from roughly 944,000 citations across 84,700 academic publications from 229 Philippine universities, as well as contributions from 1,341 notable alumni and other reference databases.
UPLB, recognized for its strength in agriculture, science and research, was the top-ranked CALABARZON institution. It was followed by the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies at No. 35, known for its graduate-level programs and international scholarly community, and Batangas State University at No. 47, a leading state university in engineering and technology.
Rounding out the regional entries were Adventist University of the Philippines (No. 50), Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (No. 54), Laguna State Polytechnic University (No. 56), Southern Luzon State University (No. 59), University of Rizal System (No. 72) and De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (No. 84).
