BACOOR, Cavite — A 24-year-old man was killed after being shot by two unidentified suspects riding in tandem while he was walking along Bitas Street in Barangay San Nicolas 3 late Tuesday evening.

Police identified the victim only by his alias, Cremon, a resident of Barangay Talon 5, Las Piñas City.

Initial investigation showed the shooting occurred at around 9:30 p.m. in the Green Valley subdivision. The suspects, riding a motorcycle together, approached the victim and opened fire before fleeing the scene. The victim was declared dead on the spot.

Investigators said the victim had been involved in theft incidents in the area and had accumulated enemies as a result. Authorities are looking into whether the conflict stemming from those incidents was linked to his killing.

Police are reviewing closed-circuit television footage from the area to help identify the suspects. Investigation is ongoing.
